Thou shalt not be surprised that when the airwaves are polluted with a particular genre, garage bands across the nation are inspired. Thou also shalt not jump on the nu metal bandwagon and be so oblivious–or so very self-aware–as to dub your debut “The Fake Sound of Progress.”
And the snotty music critic said, “Let me commend the Lostprophets for their respectable vocals, impressive drumming, creative use of turn tables, and the fact that I am only tempted to laugh at their occasional grindcore screams.”
And the snotty music critic said, “Let the Lostprophets take the tempo of some of their songs down a notch, let them avoid repetitive metal guitar riffs, and let them hire a producer who would give their album a polished sound and give them sound advice.”
And the snotty music critic saw that this would be good.
