Coolnotcruel, Trunkt
This is me in Boston: just fuzzy-warm-enough in vintage mink, keeping my hands happy — i.e. not numb — in an older-than-thou fur muff, and I’m chatting with my friend as the train pulls away, to reveal a poster of a pink little mink caged.
STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY commands the poster. peopleagainstfurorsomethingblahblah.com
This is me in New York: writing about the situation, petting my coat, very amused.
But.
I have a heart.
I swear.
And it holds space for things other than vintage furs.
I promise.
And I’m not alluding to soy lattes.
Really.
And more than that, I praise coolnotcruel, an indie clothing line dedicated to living its name, and — get this — styling Sex and the City-like the meanwhile.
Every piece of coolnotcruel’s clothing is crafted in organic cotton, Alpaca wool, or hemp, making for a wardrobe healthier than that South Beach book gathering dust on my bookshelf. And as the classically cut separates blend your love of clean lines with your love of clean air, so I’m discovering a hippie chic more true than the Olsen twins’ SoHo boho look.
In fact, I think coolnotcruel’s A-line, empire-waisted number will perfectly match my tweed ballet flats.
Topped off with my mink.

Oh gosh. If you are ever in Boston again, we’re getting lattes.
