Five Things You Didn’t Know About Your K
10.Jan.2007, 08:20 am
Tag, I’m It. The Bargain Queen asked me to tell the world (wide web) five things you dolls didn’t know about your K. So let’s get down…
1. I own a pair of New Balance sneakers. People see them in my closet and don’t believe it; they’re like the unicorns of wardrobes. I think even my family assumes I go jogging in heels.
2. My dad named me after an indie film actress. He said he saw some art flick and an actress was named “Kristopher with a K,” which he thought was so unique and pretty. But my older brother said he insisted my parents name me Kristopher after his best preschool pal. Coin toss.
3. I drive stick in five-inch heels. Sounds S-E-X-y, right? According to a friend, though, I drive like a grandma. Vroom, vroom.
4. I store vintage fur muffs and a vintage Saks mink cap in my fridge. Which seems unsanitary, but questionable eating habits – I only have water, soy milk, and espresso in there – keep things clean.
5. I created, designed, and maintain my blog. Most people seem to think my dot-com is managed by someone else, but currently your K does everything – graphics, layout, why do I know PHP? – on the site. Once I met with an editor who complimented me, saying he’d assumed some guy took care of the web end while I was out shoe shopping. Meeting over, dude.
Now I get to tag five people I want to get to know better. I’ll leave it up to you ladies, though. Leave a comment of a blogger you’d like to know five things about. The first five you name will be considered “It.”

Driving like a grandma isn’t that much of a turn-off! Mr BQ drives like Nanna, and yet, I still married him. I guess I really am over my bad boy phase

3. I drive stick in five-inch heels. <– lovely K how can you do that? I once try driving with my bf and I was weairng my 4-inch heels and we almost got into an accident. Somehow the heels stuck on the carpet. opsy… I have a good excuse whenever I don’t want to drive “babe, I wear heels today!” haha

I knew there was a reason a liked you
. New Balance are a godsend. So comfy, stylish and great for serious power shopping. I’d love to tag the face behind Frugal Fashionista. The outfits are dangerous, fantastic and unbelivable. How does he/she do it?

Re: Answer #3 – hey, do you live on soy lattes alone?
Re: Answer #1 – I can’t believe you own sneakers. Can’t even imagine it!

Haha, Haute Girl – re: #3, it’s more I live like a bachelorette, surviving on take-out seared tuna salads.
Re: #1 – I don’t think I believe it, either.

Go K on the New Balance tip! Lots of people still wear sneakers or trainers as we Scots like to refer to them – comfort is key in my view! Just in case you are interested…NB is still a thriving business in the Lake District, UK, they target predominantly runners rather than fashion like most other sneaker brands, something I totally dig. My man is a sneaker obsessive and some of his NB shoes are my favs! Great site btw, v v funny!

driving in tall heels allows you to jam on the accelerator much easier than your flat-soled peers.
