By treating the word with so much unintended reverence, they've further publicized what they wish to be ignored, and given the issue more weight than it may be deserves. Sorry to be the party pooper my dear, but “whitey” doesn't carry with it anywhere near the painful implications and history that the n-word does. Sorry dat ik de partij pooper mijn lieve, maar "Whitey" niet aan boord hebben met het ergens in de buurt van de pijnlijke gevolgen en de geschiedenis dat de n-woord heeft. Considering that whites (myself one of them) make more money, have more political influence, maintain a societal upper-hand, and overall systematically control this and many other first-world countries, “whitey” hardly registers as a true insult. Gezien het feit dat blanken (zelf een van hen) meer geld, meer politieke invloed, de handhaving van een maatschappelijke overhand, en de algehele systematisch controleren deze en vele andere eerste-wereld-landen ", Whitey" hardly registers als een echte belediging.
Sort of how calling Donald Trump “richy” wouldn't exactly sting. Sorteren van de wijze waarop roepen Donald Trump "Richy", zou niet echt steek.
