By treating the word with so much unintended reverence, they've further publicized what they wish to be ignored, and given the issue more weight than it may be deserves. Sorry to be the party pooper my dear, but “whitey” doesn't carry with it anywhere near the painful implications and history that the n-word does. Considering that whites (myself one of them) make more money, have more political influence, maintain a societal upper-hand, and overall systematically control this and many other first-world countries, “whitey” hardly registers as a true insult. Med tanke på at hvite (meg selv en av dem) tjener mer penger, har mer politisk innflytelse, opprettholde en samfunnsmessig øvre hånd, og samlet systematisk kontroll denne og mange andre første-verden-land, "Whitey" knapt registrerer seg som en sann fornærmelse.
