I’ve been a sucker for the $200 T3 Bespoke Labs Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline hair dryer, despite the Swarovski crystals running down its handle: even if it cost 200% more than most hair dryers, it dries my bed-head bob 60% faster.

But so does Hot Tools Ionic travel hair dryer — I’ve tried it, and it’s got T3-like technology. Only with more power, less weight, and for less than $25.

I’ve long admired Korean women’s natural beauty — and the high-tech plastic surgery behind it –, so when I had my lashes done by Sun Lee, a semi-permanent eyelash extension artist in Koreatown, I quizzed her about Korean beauty trends. Sun Lee said Korean women are deep into BB cream. Short for “blemish balm cream,” it’s an anti-aging, skin-brightening and -lightening, SPF-laced cream that moisturizes and covers imperfections.

I’ve got more Josie Maran 100% argan oil, Shiseido SPF 60, and Senna Mineral Mix powder foundation than Sephora, but I’m burning my stock and heading back to Koreantown to invest in BB cream…

Wearing:

You can blow a few Benjies a month on semi-permanent eyelash extensions in Beverly Hills (I’ve done it, and, sure, it’s worth it). But I’ve found for a third the price and half the time — $90 and an hour — , you can get just as natural-looking, semi-permanent eyelash extensions in Koreatown. Sun Lee has done eyelash extensions for six years, and her semi-permanent eyelash extensions last up to three months (her tips: don’t sleep on your face and wash off any eye makeup very gently).

Now that I never wear mascara, I wake up roll-outta-bed beautiful.

I may be a total dog lady now, but at least I sport Alexander Wang mules while walking Major Dukes — even on the one day it rained in Vegas.

But my choice of shoes is really hardly ridick, since Major Dukes is like a rap star: he spends his day around a chick wearing nothing but Giuseppes and triple-digit thongs, he’s chauffeured in a Porsche, and he pisses in public in Vegas…
