I’ve long admired Korean women’s natural beauty — and the high-tech plastic surgery behind it –, so when I had my lashes done by Sun Lee, a semi-permanent eyelash extension artist in Koreatown, I quizzed her about Korean beauty trends. Sun Lee said Korean women are deep into BB cream. Short for “blemish balm cream,” it’s an anti-aging, skin-brightening and -lightening, SPF-laced cream that moisturizes and covers imperfections.
I’ve got more Josie Maran 100% argan oil, Shiseido SPF 60, and Senna Mineral Mix powder foundation than Sephora, but I’m burning my stock and heading back to Koreantown to invest in BB cream…

Have you tried any of the other Korean BB Creams? I have this one, but the tone is a little grayer than I’d like. Missha also has a pearl-dust BB cream that makes your face shiny (a little TOO sparkly, like someone just threw a bag of glitter in your face), but Etude House is also another popular brand that sells BB cream.
