Using:
Some skincare experts pimp chemical exfoliants (like glycolic acid peels) over physical exfoliants (like scrubbing your skin): chemical exfoliants are precise and penetrating, they say, whereas physical exfoliants can be a bit medieval.
I get it, and I’ve got a deep affection for bathing my face in chemicals.
Still, it’d be hard to pass on the immediate smoothness you get from sandblasting your face with home beauty gadget PMD Personal MicroDerm .

This Zeno Hot Spot Blemish Remover has been proven to zap zits within 24 hours. I figured it was worth trying — even if I only used the Zeno every other red moon, it’d be cheaper than having a dermatologist shoot cortisone into my face.
But the Zeno Hot Spot Blemish Remover didn’t work for me. It actually burned super powers into my pimple, which lasted longer than ever.
Back to playing with needles in 90210…

Wanting:

My vanity is only matched by my laziness, so traveling nearly 3,000 miles to touch up my semi-permanent eyebrows can be a stretch. Since micropigmentation makeup artist Amy Kernahan was completely booked during my last trip to New York, I started hunting for an alternative in Los Angeles. 90210 has plenty of permanent makeup artists, but none as good as Amy, and most specialize in reconstructive cosmetic tattoos, filling in 40-year-old boys’ hairlines, and lifetime lip liner for apricot-haired old ladies.
As an admirer of K-pop stars’ plastic surgery beauty, I figured Korea Town a better bet than Beverly Hills. And it was. Permanent makeup artist Sherri‘s English is a few notches above my non-existent Korean, but she made it clear she’d give me an even more natural semi-permanent eyebrow, Korean style. It’d just take six months to allow my current permanent brows to fade, $300, and two trips to her salon.
Well, maybe less than six months. I wasn’t sure how to say “poison for cat-sized rat” in Korean, so Sherri doesn’t know my nighttime beauty routine consists of a combo of chemicals that could kill a large rodent…

Hating:
I’m sure Physician’s Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Jumbo Lash Mascara is nice for your eyes, and maybe OrganiSoy® nourishes lashes. But after having to temporarily give up semi-permanent eyelash extensions for LASIK, I’ve been reminded that any mascara is incomparable to extensions.
So OrganiSoy® sounds great in a latte, but I’ve got no problem having rubber cement near my peepers, so long as Sun Lee’s semi-permanent eyelash extensions are involved…

If you meet Dr. Zakia Rahman, her being the clinical instructor of dermatology at Stanford University might convince you to feed your skin whatever she says.
For me, it was her flawless, fresh face, which makes Doogie Howser’s look like that of a chain-smoking 60-year-old.
So when Dr. Rahman said ColoreScience Sunforgettable Rock & Roller Ball (SPF 30) is so amazing that she was excited to shake ColoreScience’s founder‘s hand, I said I’d be excited try it as soon as I finish my current bottles of sunscreen foundations…
