In short: Easily complementing Balenciaga’s aesthetic of urbane architecture meets organic geometrics, the fashion house’s New York boutique feels like an extension of its collection. Peeling painted brick walls are offset by plastic, slanted walls, foiled by painted faux rocks decorating the floor. Men’s and women’s tops, bottoms, jackets and dresses hang like bunches of fruit from spacey, sporadic racks, and the shoes and bags display is as naturally polished and unintrusive as the polite sales people.
