One of my last days in London was spent shopping Alfie’s Antique Market, where I snagged this vintage crocodile Hermes purse. You can’t tell so well in London’s cheery drear, but this vintage Hermes crocodile bag is the most beautiful black-brown.
I managed to stow it inside my vintage Hermes Herbag, and then I carried on to Cannes, and cruising along the French Riviera…

I’m a non-local with a Japanese grandma, and I’ve spent the last few days bathing in two kinds of Shiseido sunscreen, swimming in mochi, and surfing through designer consignment shops.
Just a few reasons why wearing this Louis Vuitton belt bag in epi leather feels appropriate while hanging in Honolulu…

I’m a sucker for Hermes, but I’m not sure I want to advertise that so uncharmingly. This Hermès Birkin necklace in palladium is too cute. Really…

My blogging’s been slow, and it’s partly because I’m recovering from LASIK surgery.
Sure, I had painless, perfect vision within five hours after lasers seared my eyeballs, but now I’ve got to get through three months without any eye makeup, including eyelash extensions.
Bummer.
So I’ve taken to wearing my Francois Pinton “Jacky” sunglasses even more, which, paired with walking my German shepherd Major Dukes, means strangers startle when they realize I can totally see what they’re doing.
Dude, seriously…

Wanting:

Hermès Double Tour Kelly bracelets always vibed so obvious; one would go too well with my sporting my vintage Hermes Herbag as a backpack, while I flashed a peace sign and had my picture snapped at Sasabune in Honolulu.
But this Hermès “So Black” Kelly Double Tour bracelet, with black hardware on black box leather?
Lust.
I’m a Cracker Jap, and I’m afraid my quarter Japanese is showing…

Sometimes my burgundy, bed-head bob is more pure poodle than cleverly disheveled. The days I’m a dog lady too lazy to tame my bob, I slick it back in a paintbrush-stub ponytail.
I know.
A head scarf could be better, but an Hermes silk scarf a la Jackie O felt too obvious.
And then I saw this Hermes silk scarf, “De Passage A Tokyo”: its seemingly simple skyline sketch shows off the rich color Hermes scarves are known for, with its subtle rainbow of reds.
And then I realized this Hermes “De Passage A Tokyo” silk scarf was already sold.
I knew Hermes scarves were too obvious.
Not like my carefully concealed disappointment…

I bought these Stella McCartney wooden mules new on eBay. What kills me is the way the wooden heel curves up to hug your heel — it exaggerates the arch of your foot, and stretches your legs for miles.
What also kills me is that these Stella McCartney wooden mules were selling for £35 on Yoox.com…

I don’t dig cloches because I’m a sucker for flapper fashion; I like flapper fashion because I’m a sucker for cloches. I love how those bell-shaped hats half-cover your eyes, so that you have to hold your head up hyper-high to look at the world.
That’s how a lady should always walk.
Too bad I didn’t see this Eugenia Kim black cloche while I was enjoying Aloha Rag’s sale on my Honolulu holiday…
