Fashion of late has been sharing at least one of my sartorial habits – Spring ‘07 runways were sprinkled with heels, teetering tall.

Chunky wedges may work for weekends but stilettos rock right from power lunches to peach martinis. I love a fat platform paired with the skinniest stiletto. Bruno Frisoni’s platforms ($735) – with their jolly overblown bow – will treat you sweet.

And Gucci’s Veruska boots ($1,350) are pure sex, for forever and a day. You could invest in mutual funds, but you aren’t guaranteed a return. (Nor having your legs turned into killers.) While the heel’s a mere 4-and-a-quarter-inch tall, whatever height is lost is made up for in miles of patent leather.

Patent leather also plays a part in how I believe a boy should show you he adores you. Getting cuffed with a ring is a touch much; I favor getting tied up with ankle-lock pumps ($59). Before everyone from Mr. Madden to Monsieur Louboutin began catering to my lust affair with too-tall heels, I had a fetish for fetish shoes.
