Hating:
Sporting this Martin Margiela polyester jacket requires confidence that squashes popular perception that a bloated, asymmetric, polyester baseball jacket isn’t high fashion, but simply highly unflattering.
That kind of faith might move mountains, and whoever has it only has to pay $478 to exercise it, instead of Martin Margiela polyester jacket‘s retail price of $1,195…

This Diane von Furstenberg “Indina” jacket reminds me of a ’20s starlet’s monkey jacket.
Only Diane von Furstenberg doesn’t respect animals enough to use them in her designs.
Shame on you, Ms. von Furstenberg.
This Mongolian fur may be faux, but the Aloha Rag sale I got it from in Honolulu is real and alive…

I thought Sundance would be a perfect play time for my ’60s chocolate mink trenchcoat.
I also thought — think? — Giuseppe Zanotti shearling boots with a four-inch rubber wedge heel would be practical too.
But what about this Norma Kamali puffer jacket? Water-resistant, engineered for NASA spacesuit warmth, kept cozy with a self-tie belt –
You’re right, it’s probably too sporty for my first time snowshoe hiking…

I called Intermix boutiques in various timezones before I located this choice Brighton wool jersey racerback jumpsuit, in black, sized petite.
A more wearable version of the cashmere jumpsuits I was lusting for, this Brighton wool jersey jumpsuit is hard to get a hold of, maybe because its wool jersey wears better than air, and it’s on sale for $99, with an extra 25% off in store.
Get Brighton’s racerback jumpsuit in all three colors. I snagged the charcoal version at Malibu’s Country Mart, and it’s perfect for lying around a pool in Desert Hot Springs…

So I’ve realized a $2,000 vintage Halston cashmere jumpsuit is ridiculous as loungewear for a plane.
But a neon pink Stella McCartney cashmere jumpsuit? So practical, so choice…

Wanting
I tried convincing myself this’d be perfect for planes, but somehow stripping down to a vintage Halston cashmere jumpsuit to walk through security doesn’t seem more appropriate than a slip of a silk jersey tank dress.
And then I’d have to peel this off in a flying bus bathroom.
Give me a couple of days and I’ll manage to rationalize why I need a museum-quality, Halston cashmere catsuit. Maybe Sundance…

I’ve had a Norma Kamali-like shawl-collar wrap coat made into a different color for every season: chocolate tropical wool, blue sueded cotton, gray winter wool, etc…
But I’m eying this choice Halston ultrasuede robe coat.
You’re right, I need another minimalist wrap coat like I need another hand-etched, “K” initial pinky ring.
I’m buying it…
